The fish hobby is an extremely diverse and controversial topic. There is an almost unlimited amount of material guiding you in the setup and maintenance of an aquarium or pond. At Okeanos we don't practice what we preach, we preach what we practice.

After many years of building custom aquariums and ponds, we have certain systems and schools of thought that have been a great success for us and want to share and give back to the fishkeeping community. There is no one right way to care for an aquarium or pond, however, there is the Okeanos way which has a portfolio of proven results. The experts at Okeanos have traveled through cities and schools giving lectures and seminars on the specifics of the fishkeeping hobby.

Additionally, we have given lessons to adults and children on how to properly construct and maintain your own custom aquarium or pond. We currently offer weekly lessons given to clients in our New York City headquarters or their location of choice. These lessons can get very technical, so our staff has put together a very clear and informative curriculum to make it easier and more accomplishing for the client. You will be briefed on the latest technological advances in the field, such as: the latest lighting, filtration, maintenance systems, aquarium software, and more. If you are just starting out in the hobby this is a great way to get yourself started, or even if you are an expert hobbyist or someone that needs some advice, there is always something more you can learn.
